Axis Replay hosted the first AXR Summer Camp last week from Jul 29 to Aug 2. The camp focused on Esports and Gaming, and sought to develop a more well-rounded gamer.
Campers, between the ages of 6 to 18, were provided workshops in health and wellness, teamwork, streaming and live production, and gaming in a competitive sphere.

The camp ran from 8 AM to 4 PM, starting off with the Health and Wellness training from MAMBA Sports Academy. Based in LA, MAMBA Sports Academy trains athletes and esports professionals alike for both physical and cognitive performance.
Campers were taught routine exercises and stretches that can be incorporated easily into their daily lives to maintain a healthy body, and Mamba Sports Academy’s mind-gym helped improve their focus and reaction time.

After the morning exercises, the campers met with coaches for training on popular titles such as ‘Fortnite’, ‘League of Legends’ and ‘Street Fighter’. By providing coaching in a wide variety of games, the camp hoped to train them into a more well-rounded gamer.
“These kids are building connections with other like-minded gamers within team-based environments, developing social skills, engaging in healthy and productive gaming, and building a foundation that will lead to success on a personal and professional level within the esports and gaming industry.” said Allie Young, CEO of Axis Replay.
“We wanted to provide the infrastructure for the next generation of gamers, to become well-rounded in their gaming and access the opportunities available to them.”
